Welcome to British Airport Taxis ("we," "our," or "us"). By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 Booking Confirmation: All bookings made through our website, phone, or email are subject to confirmation. Once confirmed, you will receive a booking reference number and an email confirmation.
1.2 Payment: Payment must be made in full at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed. We accept major credit/debit cards and other payment methods as specified on our website.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
2.1 Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time for a full refund.
2.2 Late Cancellations: If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, no refund will be issued.
2.3 No-Show Policy: If you fail to show up at the designated pickup location without prior notification to us, this will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be provided. The driver will wait for a maximum of 10 minutes at address pickups and 60 minutes at airport pickups before considering it a no-show.
3. Subcontracting of Services
3.1 Subcontracting: While British Airport Taxis handles most bookings and journeys in-house, we reserve the right to subcontract work to third-party companies when necessary.
3.2 Liability: If a journey is subcontracted, British Airport Taxis holds no responsibility for whether the subcontracted company turns up or not, or for the quality of service provided by the subcontractor. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that we may subcontract your journey and accept that any issues arising from the subcontractor's service are not our responsibility.
4. Meet and Greet Service
4.1 Additional Charge: The Meet and Greet service is available for an additional fee. If selected, your driver will meet you inside the airport terminal with a name sign.
4.2 Waiting Time: The Meet and Greet service includes up to 60 minutes of free waiting time after your flight lands. After the initial 60 minutes, waiting time will be charged at £30 per hour pro-rata. This means you will be charged £7.50 for every 15 minutes or part thereof.
5. Waiting Time
5.1 Airport Pickups: For airport pickups without Meet and Greet, your driver will monitor your flight and arrive accordingly. A 60-minute free waiting period is included, starting from the actual landing time. After this period, waiting time is charged at £30 per hour pro-rata, i.e., £7.50 for every 15 minutes.
5.2 Address Pickups: For all address pickups, a 10-minute free waiting period is included. After the first 10 minutes, waiting time is charged at £30 per hour pro-rata, i.e., £7.50 for every 15 minutes.
6. Vehicle Selection and Luggage Capacity
6.1 Vehicle Information: The type of vehicle and its luggage capacity are clearly specified on our website at the time of booking. It is the customer's responsibility to choose a vehicle that suits their needs.
6.2 Excessive Luggage: If passengers arrive with more luggage than the booked vehicle can accommodate, and the vehicle is deemed unsuitable, it will be the passenger’s responsibility. No refunds will be issued, and any additional costs incurred in arranging an alternative vehicle will be borne by the passenger.
7. No-Show Policy
7.1 Definition: A no-show occurs when a customer fails to be at the designated pickup location at the agreed time and has not contacted us or the driver to inform of any delays.
7.2 Procedure: In the event of a no-show, the driver will wait for up to 10 minutes at an address pickup and 60 minutes at an airport pickup. If the customer has not arrived or made contact within this time, the driver will leave, and the booking will be considered a no-show. No refund will be issued for no-shows.
8. Changes to Bookings
8.1 Modification Policy: If you need to change any details of your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
8.2 Last-Minute Changes: Any changes made within 24 hours of the pickup time may not be accommodated and may result in a cancellation with no refund.
9. Luggage and Personal Items
9.1 Luggage Allowance: Each passenger is allowed one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Please inform us in advance if you have additional or oversized luggage.
9.2 Personal Belongings: You are responsible for your personal belongings. We are not liable for any lost or damaged items.
10. Passenger Conduct
10.1 Behavior: Passengers are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful to the driver and the vehicle. We reserve the right to refuse service to any passenger who is intoxicated, abusive, or poses a threat to the safety of others.
10.2 Damage: Any damage caused to the vehicle by the passenger will result in a charge to cover the cost of repairs.
11. Liability
11.1 Service Disruptions: While we strive to provide timely and reliable service, we are not responsible for delays or service disruptions caused by factors beyond our control, such as traffic, weather conditions, or flight delays.
11.2 Limitation of Liability: Our liability for any loss or damage incurred by you as a result of using our services is limited to the value of the booking made with us.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
